QOD Archive: Designing an up-to-date Computer Lab
Saturday’s question prompted discussion regarding designing an up-to-date computer lab. Dana Huff (@danamhuff) commented that computer labs are somewhat archaic. I agree. We need to focus on 1:1 and perhaps turning computer labs into tech rooms that will allow students to interact with devices using their own device.
Here is the few posts from Saturday:

| InstTechTalk | Today’s Question: If you had the opportunity to design an up-to-date computer lab, what would you include? #ittQOTD #edtech #teaching |
| InstTechTalk | @danamhuff A good point – especially since you could get 60 iPads for the same $$ as 30 desktop computers! #ittQOTD |
| danamhuff | RT @danamhuff I’d do away with the lab – get devices in each child’s hands. More and more I’m thinking the computer lab is outdated #ittQOTD |
| InstTechTalk | #ittQOTD A mounted flat screen TV and an AppleTV to start. I think it’s more versatile than an int whiteboard. |
